Over 35 Years of Experience
I am a seasoned professional with more than 35 years of experience shooting film, Digital Cinema, HD and SD video. I began my career as an Aerial Combat Cameraman for the US Air Force. Shot news at the Dallas CBS affiliate then moved on to work in aerospace as an aerial and aviation cameraman. Since the start of my freelance career, I have shot for a variety of national and local production companies as well as in-house media departments, such as Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, Raytheon, and others.
I've shot on location in remote parts of the world, I've worked in many different types of studio settings including setups for capturing green/blue screen footage, and I have spent literally thousands of hours shooting in virtually all aircraft types. I am also one of the privileged few camera operators world-wide permitted to shoot from a chase F-16D with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds during close formation maneuvers.
Flexibility and Range
I work with a variety of crew sizes ranging from large budget features and commercials to smaller independent projects. I am qualified with most Film, Digital Cinema, HD and high end SD video cameras. Although aviation is a large part of my background, I shoot a wide variety of formats across multiple industries. I adapt easily to new situations and environments and I travel well and maintain a current passport. I have the skills and knowledge to make your productions look their best, while working within your budget.
Good Spirits and Professionalism
I bring the same creative skills and good spirits to all sets, and although I take my work very seriously, I also thoroughly enjoy what I am doing and want other crew members to experience the same enjoyment during the creative process.
